Dion had a toy poodle, named Apricot, when he and Jeff became partners. Memories of Apricot live on in pictures, stories and videos. Apricot was attacked by a deer in October 2001 and had to be put to rest.
Molly was an Olde English Bulldog: 1/2 English Bulldog, 1/6 American Bulldog, 1/6 Bull Mastiff, and 1/6 Pit Bull Terrier. Molly was put to rest in September 2011, due to lymphatic cancer.
Ricky is a male Akita that was rescued from Memphis, Tennessee, by Blue Moon Akita Rescue in Aurora, Colorado. Read Ricky's Story to find out more about the first years of Ricky's life. (Also, find out more about Lucy and her puppies as mentioned in Ricky's Story.) Ricky was put to rest in July 2018, due to internal bleeding in the abdomen (likely caused by cancer).
Luna is a female Akita. She was rescued twice. Her second owners had two other dogs and a special needs kid. They decided to downsize and took one dog (a German Shepherd) to a different rescue, took Luna to Blue Moon Akita Rescue, and kept the third dog (a male Akita). We adopted Luna as a companion for Ricky.

Trooper is a male Akita. He was found running around Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado, with no collar and no microchip. When no one claimed him, he was taken to Blue Moon Akita Rescue. We adopted him as a new companion for Luna. At 9 months old in September 2018, he's still a puppy. Although his puppy nature makes him very destructive, he's still a joy to have around. He's currently "in training" to take over Ricky's duties (at that age, he does not yet have a sense of responsibility).
