On Saturday, April 10, we decided to run over to Batteries Plus and see what they had. They had the kind of battery we needed, and we decided to pick up one there, just in case the battery from Batteries.com didn't arrive in time. And if it did arrive on time, we would then have two batteries to use on the trip. This way, when one runs down, we simply switch to the other one and recharge the first. This battery cost a lot more than the one at Batteries.com, but we didn't have to pay out the wazoo on shipping. We only had to pay tax. It ended up being about $3 less than the ordered battery. When we got home with the battery, we immediately put it on the charger. It didn't take very long to charge up. When we put it on the camcorder, it worked like a charm. Apparently, it had nearly a full charge when we bought it.

Saturday evening, we got on the internet again and looked around for a copy of the owner's manual for the camcorder. We finally located it on the manufacturer's website, and downloaded it for later printing. On Sunday, April 11, while Jeff was at work, I printed out a copy of the manual, punched holes in it, and put it into a binder. After Jeff got home from work, we played around with the camcorder some more, using the manual as a guide to learn how to use more of its features and capabilities.
