We turned off of
I-25 at Walsenburg and turned onto highway 160, heading to the west.
This highway will take us all the way to Mancos (the town, not the state park) and Mesa Verde. We went over La Veta Pass,
and passed the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve.
The sand dunes are
readily visible from the highway.
