From here to Durango would be about another hour's drive. About halfway to Durango, we could see this rock structure off the highway.

Just beyond that, we reached the town of Chimney Rock. Obviously, this is Chimney Rock that we saw, and, according to the map, it is in an area labelled as Chimney Rock Anasazi Ruins.

Continuing on towards Durango, we passed farmland with lush green fields accented by snowcapped mountains in the background.

We reached Durango about 6:00.

We were almost at our destination, needing only about another 30 minutes to arrive at Mancos State Park. Jeff was concerned that we would not have enought daylight to set up camp. But I figured that we had another hour to an hour and a half of daylight remaining. We were already in Daylight Saving time, and the sky was clear, not stormy or overcast.
