Nearby the fire
lookout tower are two viewpoints. One offers a view to the north, the
other offers a view to the south.
To the north, we can see another mountain range. We think these are the Uncompahgre mountains.
Here is a close-up of the mountain range.
Down below the mesa, near the town of Cortez, is Totten Reservoir.
To the south, we can see this rock formation.

formation is located in New Mexico and is called Shiprock.
